Figu pieces are made from high-quality 316L stainless steel, with finishes carefully developed to ensure durability, comfort, and resistance to daily wear. Gold-plated pieces undergo an 18k PVD gold plating process, an innovative method that forms an extremely resistant layer over the steel. This method guarantees greater colour durability, wear resistance, and protection against oxidation, making the pieces ideal for daily use. Most of our silver-coloured pieces feature a platinum finish, to make them brighter, shinier, and give them a more premium look.
Our stainless steel pieces are made with carefully laboratory-grown crystals. We use three types of crystals: zircons, preciosa, and on some pieces, Swarovski crystals. You can check which crystals are used in the product description.
The combination of 316L stainless steel with PVD technology creates a piece that is significantly more resistant to wear, oxidation, and colour loss than conventional fashion jewellery. On the other hand, unlike brass, steel is a significantly harder and stronger material, which makes our pieces more resistant for daily use, unlike conventional fashion jewellery that easily breaks.

Our gold-plated pieces use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology, a coating process significantly more resistant than traditional plating. With proper care, your jewellery will maintain its colour and shine for a long time.
The term PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) refers to the technique used to apply colour — but the quality of the result depends on several factors, such as: the type of steel alloy used, the thickness of the coating, the temperature and pressure of the process and, of course, the rigour and experience of the factory that performs it.
At Figu, we only work with specialized factories that use high-tech equipment and superior quality 316L steel, ensuring more uniform, resistant and durable PVD coatings. We invest in coatings with greater thicknesses, in order to make Figu pieces even more resistant than most steel pieces on the market.
Yes, all our pieces containing natural elements, namely pearls or natural stones such as agates, quartz, amethysts, etc., require extra care to avoid damaging their shine or colour. Crystals are also more sensitive to water, perspiration, chlorine or chemical products.
The durability of gold plating depends not only on the colour of the piece, but above all on the technology used in its application. At Figu, we use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating, a more advanced process than the traditional plating used on many gold-plated silver pieces. This method creates a layer that is more resistant to daily wear and tear, water, and contact with the skin. Therefore, in many cases, our pieces retain their gold tone for longer than gold-plated silver pieces with conventional plating. However, the final durability always depends on care during use, frequency of use, and contact with chemical products, perfumes or creams. This is why we talk about water-resistant jewellery designed for everyday wear, while still recommending some care to prolong its beauty over time.

No. Figu pieces are made from high-quality, corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel and do not release residues that cause skin stains or bad odours.
By following a few simple steps, your pieces will keep their shine and colour for much longer, specifically:
- Avoid prolonged contact with salt water, chlorine, and chemicals.
- Remove pieces before exercising, or applying perfumes or creams.
- Store them in a dry place, preferably in our individual pouches, to prevent scratches.
- Clean them regularly with a soft, dry cloth, gently.
Warranty and Support
All Figu pieces include a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If we identify a manufacturing anomaly, we will repair or replace the piece.

Loss of shine or colour due to natural wear and tear, improper use, impacts, scratches, drops, or damage caused by external agents. The warranty also does not cover cases of loss.
CUSTOMIZATION
There is a collection of customisable items, which can be engraved with a diamond drill or laser, specifically with names, dates, initials, coordinates or special words. Items that do not belong to the customisable collection cannot be engraved.
The cost of the first engraving is already included in all our pieces. In the case of our Matilde Bracelet, Matilde Necklace, Mafalda Bracelet, and Mafalda Necklace, we engrave both sides at no additional cost. For these pieces, if you would like a different engraving on the front and back (e.g., for the Matilde bracelet/necklace, a name on one side and a birth date on the other), please specify what you would like to engrave in the "notes to seller" section at checkout, and our team will do it accordingly, at no additional cost. For all other pieces, such as the Vertical necklace, Emily necklace/bracelet, Iris necklace, etc., there is an additional cost for extra engravings. Customised pieces may require additional production time before shipping. We can usually customise within two working days, except during periods of high order volume, such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Black Friday and Christmas.
As custom-made pieces are created exclusively for you, they cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of a manufacturing defect, in which case we will activate the warranty and repair your piece.
The limit varies depending on the item. This information will always be indicated on the respective product page.
If you made a mistake personalizing your piece when placing your order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible: support@figujewelry.com. If the team has already engraved your piece, it is unfortunately no longer possible to "erase" the engraving. Both diamond drill engraving and laser engraving are permanent and irreversible. Therefore, we advise you to be extremely careful when writing what you want to engrave at the time of your order.
Diamond drill engraving is traditional engraving. The drill has a small diamond at the tip, which will "scratch" the piece and leave a certain shine. It is a lighter engraving, perfect for those who want a meaningful yet discreet piece. Laser engraving, on the other hand, is done using a laser beam that will mark the piece in black or white (depending on the customer's choice), making the engraving more prominent and evident, ideal for those who want to highlight the engraving.

ORDERS AND SHIPPING
Delivery times vary depending on the destination and the type of item you ordered, whether it's customised or not. For mainland Portugal, we ship via CTT express, which usually takes between 1 to 2 business days. For the islands, we ship via CTT registered mail, which can take between 2-5 business days.

Exchanges and Returns
Online orders have 14 days to request a return and 30 days to exchange, from the moment you received your order, according to our policy. It is not possible to return orders made in a physical store, only to exchange them.

Store pickups are only available for orders placed in Madeira and Porto. In Madeira, pickups are made at our store on Estrada Monumental no. 456, store 7. In Porto, at Rua Sá da Bandeira no. 812.
Yes, any purchase eligible for exchange can be made at any store.
Presents
All our items are shipped in jewellery boxes and a matching synthetic leather pouch, with an inner divider. This pouch allows for the storage of the items, preventing scratches. If you wish to have gift wrapping to make the present even more special, you can purchase it HERE
Yes. Simply provide the recipient's address at the time of purchase.
We do not send paper invoices with our orders. For all orders, we issue the corresponding invoice, and it is automatically sent to the email address used for the purchase. If you have not received it, please check your promotions or spam folder.
